Kargil Sea Beach is a name used locally for a stretch of shore in the Fraserganj area, at the western end of the beach that runs from Bakkhali. Travellers describe it as quieter than the main beach and a good place to watch the sunset.
We have only found this beach in travel blogs and hotel listings, not in an official or encyclopaedic source, so we don't yet publish its exact position, facilities or directions. Ask your hotel or a local toto driver for the way, and go in daylight.
Before you go
- Quieter beaches have fewer people around: don't bathe alone and stay out of the water in rough conditions.
- Check the tide; the flat shore floods quickly on a rising tide.
- Carry water and take your litter back with you.
