Visitors often hear the name "Benfish" around Bakkhali. Benfish is the West Bengal State Fishermen's Cooperative Federation, and according to Wikipedia it runs the fishing harbour at Fraserganj, where trawlers land their catch.
Henry's Island guest houses
The fisheries tourist complexes on Henry's Island near Bakkhali, the Sundari and Mangrove complexes, belong to a different body: the West Bengal State Fisheries Development Corporation (WBSFDC). Its official website lists them among its complexes and takes guest-house bookings for Henry's Island.
